Giovanni Seneca

The concert is fully based on original compositions by Giovanni Seneca. In each composition popular rhythms, such as tarantella and tango, melt together with traditional classical and contemporary musical elements. Each piece was born from a musical remembrance and you can find their geographical and ethnic origins but, while some of them change and sum up with other suggestions in a new identity, some others are strongly rooted to their origins and exalt their authenticity.
The concert is a recital for classical guitar and looks for the popular soul of music; a changing contrast of musical styles, citations and suggestions which, once summed up in a wholly personal style, touch on the moods and peculiarities of different cultures. The mood is available and of great communicative impact with the intent to get to the soul of a heterogeneous audience, without distorting the "learned" background of the project.
