Concert proposals

The concert "Mediterranean Serenade" was born in the context of a wide cultural project which aims to promote and exalt the image of composers and musicians from the Marche region, both in Italy and abroad.
In particular, the concert proposes to the audience the music of two composers from Marche: the great Giocchino Rossini and the contemporary composer Giovanni Seneca, together with well-known repertoire pieces, such as adagio from the concert of Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo and fandango by Luigi Boccherini, whose "fil rouge" is "popularity" in a wider meaning: both as the capability to communicate to a vast and heterogeneous audience and as integration between learned and traditional popular languages.
In "Mediterranean Serenade", classicism meets folklore and modernity and they melt together in a fascinating poetical itinerary, looking for the popular soul of music, among changing contrasts of different styles, citations and moods. The general dimension is of bright "leggerezza", also thanks to the particular timbre mixture which is created by the union of the classical guitar and the strings.
